This half was completed on the day after her birthday. A total of 1 mistake was made. Imagine the next present I work on...

This half was completed on the day of her birthday. A total of 2 mistakes were made. both skillfully improvised to save the day... okay, so maybe the table will never stand straight

At last... after 24 hours of labour (not to mention 24 hours of listening to the same music CDs over and over again)

The mess wasn't only on this foldable table I frequently use for cartooning. I spread to the top of the laser printer next to my computer, 2 couches near the staircase, the floor, and even the dining table

The larger tab sticking out is an example of improvisation... it turned out those tiny tabs can't support the weight of the comic characters at all. Working past midnight clouds my thinking heh heh

Some of the pieces to create half of the popup section. Those tiny tabs were a horrible mistake. It took a painstaking amount of improvising to save the present heh

The test model I built on Sunday. It was a remake of an orginal card some clarinetists bought for me last year when we were in Taiwan. I spent half an hour to create this model which I later referred to when I worked on the actual present

There were these 2 cute little dogs there. Nobody could resist giving them a nice little pat and stroke

Jimmy (also known as the most innocent, childish, well-meaning, good-natured, play but unfortunately completely unskilled percussionist in our band) at the tortoise pond

Another place we went to was the Lotus Lake. Long long ago there was this lake filled with lotus. Then one day some guy thought it would be good luck to release tortoises in the pond. Then everybody else thought the same. Before long the tortoises ate all the lotuses. Now the Taiwanese government decided to catch all the tortoises and put them in some sort of huge pond, separate from the lake so they can turn the lake back into its original glory (full of lotus la)

At one point the guide took us up onto a hill where I could get a nice big shot of the scenery. This apparently is one of Taiwan's biggest mountains

Along the way I spotted a Mitsubishi. I was really surprised and wondered what a Proton Wira was doing in Taiwan. Sir later explained that Proton and Mitsubishi worked together so their cars look the same.

After bumping into 4 missionaries and having a short chat, Shuan and I rushed to this place where we had this witty vonlunteer tour guide take us around some place....
